RACE REPORT

Off on time and at the first attempt, May Edgar cut out the early work from Courier Belle, Brown Label and Belle of Clonmel. After 5 furlongs Symon's Gift made progress towards the leaders, but was denied an opening inside the distance, leaving May Edgar to make all, winning by 1 1/2 lengths from Courier Belle, with the unlucky Symon's Gift 2 lengths back in third. The trainer of Symon's Gift lodged an objection, but it was declined when not lodged in time.
